Another signal boost, closer to my current location

23 07 2013

Following on from last week’s post on the Baby Teeth anthology pledge campaign, I’ve realised that there’s a broadly-analogous CSFG effort in the offing, viz. the Write-a-Book-in-a-Day project. WaBiaD, which does what it says on the tin, is a contest held across Australia, running from April to August (but since it’s Write-a-Book-in-a-Day, not Write-a-Book-in-a-Six-Month-Span, each team has to pick only one day in which to WaB), to raise funds for children’s hospitals in each state. CSFG’s effort this year, which will be coalescing on August 4th, is to raise money for PatCH (Paediatrics at the Canberra Hospital). Last year CSFG raised $600 for PatCH, and this year they’re hoping to do even better. You can find out more at the CSFG website here, which also gives useful tips as to how to sponsor the team.

(Oh, and the Baby Teeth anthology print fundraiser has now met its goal, but I’m sure they’d welcome a little extra support …)
